DEPUTY GOVERNOR ANAMBRA STATE EXHIBITING CALM AND CONTROL UNDER INTENSE PROVOCATION BY A YOUNG LADY AT STANEL

In a world where social media frenzy takes preeminence and the youth l'amour for "content", misrepresentations are bound to occur. Lines become blurred between truth and "content" especially when leadership is involved.

This was the drama that correspondents of unizik fm met at Stanel filling station on Tuesday, 21st of May, 2024 around 5.30pm.

On the one side, a young man was being whisked into a police van amidst shouts and struggles while on the other side a lady was seemingly being harassed by the officers protecting the deputy governor of Anambra State, Dr. Onyeka Ibezim.

However, on a closer look, the correspondents discovered that the girl was actually attacking the security officers in anger for allegedly insulting her husband and pushing her.

As the correspondents tried to intervene, the security officers tried to stop us from coming close, but the deputy governor prevailed on them and asked us to come closer to witness first hand the drama.

Meanwhile, the lady aggressively hurled insults at the entourage while pointing at Dr. Ibezim who calmly explained what happened to the reporters. The calm demeanor of the deputy governor showed that he had a good mastery of conflict resolution and decorum.

The lady vehemently kept asking for the incident to be recorded as she kept pushing towards the deputy governor.

The attitude of the lady showed that more work needs to be done on the younger generation as respect and values have been thrown to the winds.

In a world besieged by clout chasing and content creation, leaders are to show an example by refusing to give in to the demand to go below their values, which Dr. Onyeka Ibezim did without hesitation.

Today, we witnessed a situation where diplomacy, calm and control were exhibited as the hallmark of leadership.

This was truly the demeanor of the deputy governor as the lady ranted and raved. We are advised to investigate properly before recording and posting content in order to avoid misrepresentation.
Dr. Onyeka Ibezim, you made ndi Anambra proud today.
