An 85-year-old man was arrested for allegedly defiling his great granddaughters.
The aged Zambian man identified as Mweetwa appeared in the Choma Fast Track and User Friendly Court last week over charges of raping and indecently assaulting two girls aged nine and twelve, contrary to the Laws of Zambia.
The two girls are said to be the biological children to his grand daughter Evereen. He allegedly defiled his great grand daughters when they were sweeping his house in last month November.
Senior Resident Magistrate Idah Mupemo has since granted the accused bail in his own recognisance with two working sureties.
The matter has been adjourned to 10th December, 2018 for trial.
