Sensational Football Starlet, Samba Diop Dies At The Age Of 18 years



Le Havre teenager Samba Diop has died at the age of 18. Reports in France suggest Diop was found dead at his parents’ home on Saturday morning. The Ligue 2 side confirmed Diop’s tragic passing with the cause of his death unclear.

Diop was part of Le Havre’s reserve team and France’s Under-19 side.
Le Havre posted on Twitter: “It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our player Samba Diop.
“This is an extremely difficult time for all of us.
“The entire HAC club extends its deepest condolences to the Samba family.”
Le Havre’s Ligue 2 clash with Stade Reims has now been postponed.
A club statement said: “This is a horrible moment for all the players, staff members, volunteers, administrators and leaders.”
Diop had made 21 appearances for Le Havre’s B team in the fourth tier this season.
